HMS Queen Elizabeth’s captain just got leave from the role of commander of such big naval ship because of borrowing of the ship for the personal use. Still, US Marines are going to do the same with the flagship carrier. Commander Nick, who earlier captained Queen Elizabeth was a cook- priest, and he has been reassigned the same job, and strict orders are given to him to sail back the ship to Portsmouth. The ship was completely devastated because of dry-dock.

What Are The Further Developments In The Case Of Cook- Priest?

Recently, the Royal Navy concludes in a statement that the management level inquiry is going and it would be inappropriate to comment on this matter. The media outlets are busy in showing the news of Cook-Priest who was guilty of using the naval ship for personal use. He was reprimanded because he used the big carrier ship, Galaxy minivan for his personal use and to enjoy weekends. Royal Navy just confirmed that a new role had been given to Commander Nick.

Cook- Priest was reprimanded for the personal use of the ship, and he was clean in the case of fraud or any forgery because he follows his role seriously. He reportedly used his money to pay for the charges of gas. Still using a Naval ship for personal use is a huge mistake which creates a blot on the whole career and ends your career in the Royal Navy as well. The replacement of Cook-Priest was found, and he was replaced by a renowned person who is currently taking charge of HMS Prince of Wales, Captain Steve Moorhouse. The ship was the sister of HMS, and it is still going through the phase of construction.

The largest vessels of the Royal Navy are listed below

  • Two 280 meter vessel
  • 65000-ton ships

But they are still considered inefficient in front of US Supercarriers which are Ford- class.

How the Royal Navy Gets Criticised For Their Decision?

  • Royal Navy is facing severe criticism from various media outlets and retired senior officers.
  • Many individuals are coming forward to support Commander chief.
  • Senior officers criticize the authorities for sacking the captain, and they call it a misuse of political freedom.

Things changed into an ironic pattern too because of sudden events which are related to the Queen Elizabeth Ship. This ship is also called as Big Lizzy, and it was first commissioned in the year of 2017. It was sailing without the air wing. The jets which are manufactured by Lockheed Martin are malfunctioned, and they are considered as expensive weapons.

Lockheed worked on three variants, and all of them are important for the Royal Navy. These jets are one of the most expensive variants. UK government agrees to buy some of them in the future decades, and they are going to sign the contract as well, which includes the training cost as well.
