Before leaving the office, Theresa may the prime minister of the united kingdom (U.K.)made a final effort to get through the parliament with her Brexit deal referendum. However, the entire effort on stringent customs along with lawmakers fell flat and no one in the parliament seemed to be convinced with her ultimate effort.
The entire deal and speech were created hastily as if a desperate attempt to win the labor lawmakers. She said that she will provide every parliament member with a particular vote so as to rectify the strained relation between the united kingdom and the European Union. This is something that is wanted by almost everybody in the parliament including the opposition party. but just because the prime minister put up a condition to back her Brexit deal leading to a decisional conflict.
Soon after the speech ended, the deal faces some serious backlash. Jeremy Corbyn the opposition leader joined hands with pro-Brexit conservative MP’s and the northern Irish allies and also said that they vote against the referendum in the next month’s house of commons. This will bring in more uncertainty and turmoil on the U.K. soil as now one cannot predict the ultimate outcome of the Brexit deal. Also, the entire deal will move into the hands of the future prime minister.
The major people who are against the may’s Brexit deal is the Dominic Raab who is also the pro-Brexit rival of may and Boris Johnson who is the front runner for the leadership position race which has commenced unofficially. The blockade of this referendum means then again there will be no European United deal.
Since the united kingdom has voted out the EU, may have repeatedly tried her best to come up a deal and every single it was rejected by the parliament. She tried everything to get the deal through the [arliament and even had joined hands with Jeremy Corbyn through cross-party talks, but tie up also collapsed a few days ago. probably now her party will be facing a big defeat in the European Union elections on Thursday in which the UK will take part in. even if she started strong but then again it trades to 0.2 percent weaker.
She is heading towards a big humiliating defeat at the end of her term even if she drafted the entire referendum in the form of a draft law.
Ten point plans of her
she planned out to give parliament a choice to decide the kind of customs model the UK and EU should have with each other and also whether the parliament can have a second vote for referendum ratification. She also said that she would make arrangements for mitigating the backstop plan impact with Ireland border.
Also, the parliament need to have a for a vote for the may’s bill which seems impossible, and can be mitigated only if labor MP’s shows their support. Corbyn said that the may’s new deal is just a rehash of the older one and that the running government is becoming incompetent to deliver. May also had a cabinet meeting in which she suggested that the conservatives can vote over the second referendum; but was opposed by gove, grayling, and leads.
However, May’s office said that she did not tell the member of her party to vote as she thinks that the second referendum can be divisive and can challenge democracy.
