A man from West Lothian has been held in custody with serious charges of attempt to murder. The 30-year-old man has been booked after shooting another person right in the chest with the help of a crossbow bolt.
A shocking video which shows the result
of a crossbow attack has surfaced on the internet with the victim crying out in
pain. The disturbing video depicts a man in a red t-shirt with an arrow bulging
out of the chest on the left side.
The video starts with the man coming out from the side of a house with an arrow
sticking out of his chest. He expresses his pain and agony to the onlookers who
happen to be filming the video.
Ralph Muir, aged 30, was booked last Thursday in Bathgate when armed police dived in the place. The police crew was called in after severe reports of disturbances and on arrival the police saw the man with a crossbow bolt sticking out of his chest.
In the video the 46-year-old man claims the crossbow to be right through his heart while the protruding bolt is seen bulging out of the person’s torso.
Crying out in pain, the victim further swears and says that he’s been shot, and the bolt was killing him. He can also be heard saying that he felt dehydrated.
Ralph was arrested when police arrived at 6:20 in the evening after the incident happened.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman stated that the police with the support of special officers in West Lothian attended the disturbance reports at the Rendezvous Place here in Bathgate.
In yet another clip, the man could be
seen walking around a street. At this point, the arrow has safely been
disengaged from the chest. The clip also shows the arrival of the armed police.
Before ordering the man to turn himself to the police, the first attempt to
clear away all the onlookers.
Later, Muir was charged with five serious hardcore offences. He appeared on petition from custody on Tuesday at the Livingston Sheriff Court.
Some of the most offensive charges against him are-
- Assault to injury
- Danger to life
- Attempt to Murder
- Dangerous discharge of a firearm
- Culprit of firing a firearm
He was also charged with possession of an offensive weapon. Breach of peace and vandalism were also some of the offences under which Muir has been booked.
The victim who is supposed to suffer some minor injuries was rushed to the local St. John’s Hospital in Livingston for immediate assistance and treatment of injuries. The spokeswoman stated that the 46-year-old guy has admitted to the St. Johns Hospital with some minor injuries. The 30-year-old man had been arrested and charged and is expected to visit the sheriff on May 21, Tuesday.
The thick-skinned Muir made no plea for forgiveness. It seemed as if he had no regrets about whatever he did. Thus, he was remanded in custody for further examinations and investigations. Appearance for his full committal and hearing is scheduled to be in the upcoming week.
