The traditional Royal Garden party is held every year at the Buckingham Palace by the Queen. The traditional garden event is held every summer and selective guests are nominated and invited. This year the garden event was joined by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Kate And William In The Buckingham Palace
The Tuesday evening welcomed Kate and William amongst other guests. Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, wore the light pink double-breasted outfit with pearl earrings. The outfit was designed by the reputed Alexander McQueen and the earrings worn were once owned by Princess Diana. She was seen in a blush hat by Juliette Botterill with a matching clutch and nude pumps pair. Duke of Cambridge Prince William was seen in a three-piece morning suit keeping the men dress code in mind. He carried a top hat and an umbrella. The sunny weather of London cannot be predicted and that is the reason Prince William carried an umbrella. They had a relaxed afternoon in the garden party speaking with their guests.
Queen And The Party
Both of them accompanied the queen to meet the various guests present in the royal party event. Queen looked beautiful and healthy, wearing a pastel blue coat. The queen later visited the Back to Nature garden project along with Kate and William. Kate’s project at the Chelsea Flower show encourages children to play outside. The Queen took a tour of the project along with George, Charlotte, and Louis. Queen also mentioned that one should always be interactive with the outdoors as it has huge benefits on the physical and mental health of young kids. She met the guests at the Buckingham Palace garden party.
Garden At Buckingham Palace
In the London residence, there is a large private park occupying a space of 42 acres. It is situated at the rear of the palace and hosts several guests in the Garden party. This year invited 8,000 guests who generally are nominated members of public position. Each garden party is a way to recognize and reward people for their public service. The gates are open for these garden parties. The Buckingham Palace garden, in general, is not open for the public and people. The features of the Garden party comprises as follows:
a) Queen invites around 30,000 people for the event
b) Each Garden party has tea, sandwiches, and cake for the guests
c) Guests are nominated carefully, and then the invitation is sent
d) A military band plays the National Anthem in every event
e) Queen greets and meets the guests
f) Sponsors include Lieutenants, Societies, Govt. departments, the church, and Local Government
g) The invitations cannot be acquired through an application; they are nominated by the sponsors and the palace
The Buckingham Palace garden party saw several guests meeting the Queen along with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The party also included any members of the royal family having a gala time enjoying tea and sandwiches.
